The University has a dormitory complex called Hongwa Haksa or Red Roof Student Residence Hall. The dormitories are available to university students who are from outside Jeonju City. The complex consists of six residence halls, and two service buildings. The residence buildings include Changjo(Creation, #1) Hall, Chongui(Justice, #2) Hall, Chinli(Truth, #3) Hall, Pyonghwa(Peace, #4) Hall, Daedong(Harmony, #5) Hall and Yuyon Hall. The first two halls and Daedong Hall are for men. Chinli and Pyonghwa Hall are for women. Yuyon Hall accommodates only those students who are preparing for the advanced civil service career examinations for judicial and government offices. In 2002, the heating facilities of buildings #1, #2, and #3 were renovated so that all residence halls could be very warm and cozy during the winter.

About 1,400 students are housed in the six halls. There is also a student activity center and a dining hall. Students can enjoy various activities in the center, which houses sports facilities for table tennis, billiards and many exercise machines and equipment. A small library, a video and music room and a convenience store are also located in the center. Dormitory students are allowed to use all facilities in the center.

The Dining Hall serves three meals a day for a reasonable price and with a fine menu. Students can enjoy quality Korean dishes there. During school sessions, bread (rice cake) & milk for breakfast are served. Either bread (rice cake) & milk or a Korean dish can be chosen. Students apply for admission to one of the halls by submitting application forms to the dormitory General Office at the end of each semester. Assignments are made at the beginning of the next semester.

Two or four students share one room in the men's halls, and two or three students share one room in the women's halls. All students enrolled in the dormitories are responsible for compliance with the dormitory code of conduct. The detailed list of rules is available in the dormitory bulletin. Anyone who does not live up to the standards set forth in the rule is liable to expulsion.

The students are expected to contribute positively to the dorm's community life in various respects. Students who want to apply for accommodation in the dormitory are required to make an advance payment for a semester.
